PureArts, a manufacturer of premium quality collectible figures, has collaborated with Bored Jobs to license BAYC collectible figures.
Mouse Belt Labs, a blockchain accelerator, recently announced a strategic partnership between Bored Jobs and PureArts. Bored Jobs is an intellectual property (IP) licensing marketplace that features characters from Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT that Mouse Belt Labs launched last month.
Through Bored Jobs, individuals and brands can choose from all 10,000 BAYC NFTs listed on the site and hire a Bored Ape for various campaigns. Recently, two Bored Apes, BAYC #1201 and BAYC #7285, were “hired” to star on multiple merchandises—the first as Broadway Lifestyle’s “mascot” and the latter as the face to grace Old Navy’s latest T-shirt line.
On the other hand, PureArts has been a leading creator and manufacturer of premium quality collectible figures for the video game and movie industries since 2008.
BAYC Collectible Figures
Here’s a fact: blue-chip NFTs such as BAYC have created a strong following and passionate communities of collectors. Members of these communities go to extreme lengths to get their hands on various products that feature characters from the NFT collections they follow.
PureArts has leveraged that fact to release a collection of affordable but high-quality BAYC collectible figures. However, instead of buying a bunch of BAYC NFTs, it is taking a community-first approach by directly offering licensing deals to owners in the community.
Owners have nothing to worry about as far as the deal goes judging from PureArts’ rich history. The action figure manufacturer’s resume lists high-profile brands like Batman, Lord of the Rings, Tekken, Assassin’s Creed, League of Legends, Terminator, DarkSouls, Mortal Kombat, and many others.
“Product releases such as BAYC x Superplastic proved there is demand for this product category in the community. But what PureArts is trying to do in price, quality, and community involvement will truly put their product in a league of its own. We couldn’t be happier to see Bored Ape NFT owners profit from their IP with a company of this reputation and execution,” says Patrick McLain, co-founder of Mouse Belt.
Bored Jobs x PureArts Collab
Although all BAYC NFTs are listed in Bored Jobs, a selection process will be used to determine which character would come to life via the BAYC collectible figures. The Bored Jobs team will work closely with PureArts to choose a variety of BAYC NFTs and their owners to join the project.
Both companies will hold an open “casting call” in early August where interested NFT owners can submit their valuable collections in hopes that PureArts will choose theirs. Once the casting call ends, Bored Jobs and PureArts will choose ten or more Bored Apes before presenting them to the community that will vote on their favorites.
The “chosen ones” will be brought to life as BAYC collectible figures. On the other hand, their owners will receive a percentage of the sales.
“As an NFT Collector myself, it was important to have a different approach than our licensing deals with gaming or movie brands. This project must be community-driven, and it’s for this reason that I quickly reached BoredJobs to explain my vision and my project. We are very excited by the opportunity to use PureArts skills to create an incredible line of collectibles with IP Holders,” said Arnaud Perez, Managing Director of PureArts, when asked to comment on their partnership with Bored Jobs.
