The annual Electric Daisy Carnival held from May 20 to 22 in Las Vegas was marked with the dropping of exclusive ZASH NFTs by no other than Snoop Dogg and Grimes.
This year’s Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC), held from May 20 to 22 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, made history after a surprise appearance by Snoop Dogg. Even after electric performances from Tiesto, Zedd, David Guetta, and Kaskade, the crowd was hyped up upon seeing the “Drop it Like its Hot” rapper.
It was a genuinely out-of-this-world experience for everyone in attendance as an extraordinary light show took place during Snoop Dogg’s surprise performance. A galaxy of drones beamed a first-of-its-kind Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFT in the night sky, captivating the audience. The BAYC has since been minted into an NFT.

Exclusive ZASH NFT Drop
Snoop Dogg is no stranger to NFTs. The 50-year-old California native is on the verge of releasing an NFT album, “Da Da,” with DJ Steve Aoki before the month ends.
The EDC NFT sky show was part of the exclusive ZASH NFT drop that Snoop Dogg and headliner Grimes initiated. With ZASH Global Media, the pair dropped the exclusive NFTs from space via satellite, leaving the crowd awestruck.
“It’s truly remarkable being a part of history and creating the first-ever Bored Ape drone NFT for ZASH and Lomo at EDC 2022,” said Bart Hendrikx from Drone Stories.
On the day of Grimes’ DJ set, the 34-year-old Canadian musician teased what fans could expect at the EDC. “Taking u on a T3chn0 Odyssey tonight at EDC with the first-ever Space Drop …. And New unreleased Music,” she tweeted on Saturday, May 21, accompanied by a futuristic video.

Further spreading EDC’s signature good vibes, ZASH presented one lucky concertgoer with the actual BAYC NFT front and center of the drone show. It was valued at almost $300,000.
Lomotif also gave away a new 2022 Tesla Model X Plaid, worth almost $200,000. Lomotif is a revolutionary video-sharing app and social networking tool that allows users to upload performances while adding their own brand of creativity before sharing them. It served as the official streaming partner for the EDC.
Lomotif recorded over 80 million views and more than one billion ad impressions during the live stream and giveaway. Its Apple Store ranking also jumped to 101.
“This year we partnered with Snoop to provide an incredible performance, delivered two exclusive NFTs directly from space along with another incredible performer Grimes and produced one of the most technically difficult drone shows for the greatest EDM festival in the world,” said Ted Farnsworth, ZASH’s chairman and founder. “Our strategic partnerships at EDC raise an amazing amount of visibility for Lomotif, which in turn drives millions of views and registered viewers to the platform.”
Sam Salony, producer for ZASH at EDC, couldn’t contain her excitement at the thought of where things were headed for the entertainment industry that is still reeling from the effects of the pandemic.
“We’re entering a new era that’s defined by an evolving relationship between tech and creativity; it’s an honor to work with artists who’ve not only made an impact in that space but have such a strong vision of where it’s going,” she said. “That’s what ZASH is all about. Redefining limitations and creating something new.”
