Doodles NFT appoint former Billboard executive Julian Holguin as its new CEO. Holguin is expected to take the NFT project’s imaginative vision to scale growth and expansion.
Doodles, one of the leading NFT projects in the Web3 ecosystem, has announced the appointment of Julian Holguin as its new partner and CEO. Holguin brings over 14 years of media and entertainment experience to the table, having worked in various leadership positions in Billboard between 2012 and 2015 and serving as its president since November 2020.
Throughout Holguin’s career in the media and entertainment sectors, he helped scale and monetize premium intellectual properties. As president of Billboard, he was responsible for evolving the brand from a music trade magazine to an international multi-platform experience for fans.
Doodles NFT’s Surprising Move
Doodles made the announcement on its official Twitter account. The tweet said, “Julian will work alongside the founders to expand Doodles IP throughout music, gaming, and entertainment, while deeply integrating culture into the product.” Doodles said they were “thrilled” to share the good news with their community.
Doodles is a colorful collection of 10,000 NFTs launched in October 2021. One of its co-founders and designer is Canadian artist Scott Martin, who goes by his digital artist handle “Burnt Toast.” He shares founding privileges with Web3 pioneers Evan Keast and Jordan Castro.
Since its launch half a year ago, it has quickly become a favorite among NFT collectors because of its inclusive characters, colorful world, and passionate community. The Doodles NFT collection even left a lasting impact during this year’s South by Southwest (SXSW) Conference. Some of the well-known collectors of the Doodles NFT collection include Steve Aoki, Snoop Dog, Fat Joe, Kygo, Justin Bieber, and others.
Currently, Doodles have a floor price, or a “buy now” price, of Ξ 22.5 or roughly $44,000 on OpenSea. Doodles NFT holders have the opportunity to participate in coordinating the group’s treasury, as well as vote on future campaigns. Thus, Doodles are a DAO, a non-hierarchical online community where members can use various Web3 tools to control the group among themselves.
