After a two-week delay in operations following its launch on April 13, Ragnarok Labyrinth NFT is dropping again, with an April 27, 2022 re-opening date.
Gravity Co., Ltd., through its Indonesian subsidiary, PT Gravity Game Link, announced that it will re-open Ragnarok Labyrinth NFT. It was initially launched in Southeast Asia on April 13, but the same had to be closed due to login delays.
Ragnarok Labyrinth NFT Initial Launch Setback
Gravity first announced the Southeast Asian release of Ragnarok Labyrinth NFT in the second quarter of 2022 back in March. The company said this iteration would be a play-to-earn (P2E) NFT mobile game based on its Ragnarok IP. It also said it would integrate the game with blockchain technology as an idle MMORPG.
Pre-registration for the game started on March 17, and by April 7, 22 days after it began accepting registrants, the number of accounts had exceeded one million. The number was expected to grow even more by the time of the game’s Southeast Asian launch on April 13, and that’s exactly what happened.
After the April 13 launch date, many users worldwide tried to enter the game simultaneously with the Southeast Asian users. Thus, a massive login delay occurred, prompting Gravity to close down its servers until the matter was addressed.
Over two weeks, Gravity increased its number of servers to handle the delay issue. After improving the servers, game access system, and others, Ragnarok Labyrinth NFT is ready to re-open on April 27, barring any mishaps.
Users will receive the promised pre-registration rewards—ONBUFF points worth 10 Onit to all pre-registered users, and 1 million Zeny will be paid to all users to celebrate over one million pre-registered accounts. Also, to attract more attention from users, Gravity will be giving additional compensation on the re-opening day and various in-game items.
The re-opened Ragnarok Labyrinth NFT is available for pre-installation in Southeast Asian regions via the Google Playstore and Apple App Store.
Ragnarok Labyrinth NFT Gameplay
Ragnarok Labyrinth NFT is set in the fictional world of Ragnarok. In the game, players will have the chance to explore the complex labyrinth consisting of unique mazes, dungeons, and monsters. All these elements come together to form an essential part of the gameplay.
There is also a Party Assemble Mode that would allow players to team up with others in their journey throughout the labyrinth. Players can choose between player vs. environment (PVE) and player vs. player (PVP) modes. There will also be an MVP Boss Level where players will be engaging in battles with MVP monsters.
The game token that may be traded and earned is called ONBUFF Coins ($ONIT), and players may trade such on decentralized exchange platforms. Integrating NFTs into the game has a double-edged purpose—provide players with a fantastic gaming experience and reward them with digital assets for every minute spent on the game.
Character customizations are also available, and players can exchange, sell, and trade their in-game items during play.
