CyberKongz collaborates with 0xInuarashi to recreate their original 2D NFT art completely on-chain.
CyberKongz recently collaborated with crypto developer 0xInuarashi to recreate their original 2D NFT art. It was recreated completely on-chain, resulting in the first-ever “NFT-bound” token.
As per 0xInuarashi, a token called “On-Chain Kongz” was sent to CyberKongz holders’ wallets on March 26. The token replicates its CyberKongz equivalent. 0xInuarashi also said that the On-Chain Kongz are “KongzBound.” It means the tokens are totally gasless and may be transferred to non-users.
The tokens are “NFT-Bound,” which means any transfer of CyberKongz will result in the token automatically jumping into its new owner’s wallet.
What Is CyberKongz?
CyberKongz was created in early March 2021 by the artist myoo. It is a collection of 5,000 unique and randomly-generated NFTs.
Unlike other NFT projects, CyberKongz didn’t have the usual fanfare, such as huge advertising campaigns, pre-releases, or press releases. Still, it caught the attention of many NFT enthusiasts who got wind of the minting process on Opensea and talked about it on social media.
CyberKongz features 34×34 pixelized images sized perfectly for use as profile pictures on social media and Discord. So CyberKongz was already leaving its mark at a time when profile picture projects (PFP) were still on the down low.
CyberKongz has enjoyed a steady growth in its social media followers. It currently has 38,268 Discord members and 169,241 Twitter followers.
CyberKongz eventually developed as a community-based project and is now hosting some of the best developers and experts in the NFT space. These experts have selflessly shared their skills and time to develop the CyberKongz community’s ideas, giving rise to the $BANANA token and CyberKongz VX.
What is worth noting about this project is that owners can give their CyberKongz unique characteristics like names and biographies by burning a specific amount of $BANANA. Owners can also breed and incubate any one of the 4,000 randomly generated Baby CyberKongz to give them different traits and rarities.
The CyberKongz VX project, on the other hand, is CyberKongz’s ticket into the Metaverse. It is a 3D Voxel collection consisting of 15,000 models that owners can use and play in upcoming Metaverses.
Why Was On-Chain Kongz Created?
Creating the On-Chain Kongz involved a lot of blood, sweat, tears, and hard work. Crypto developer 0xInuarashi outlined the long and arduous creation of the on-chain NFT-bound token. Aside from decoding the NFTs, the on-chain assets had to be mapped out, rebuilt, and rendered into what is now the On-Chain Kongz.
All the hard work paid off because this collaboration between CyberKongz and 0xInuarashi successfully yielded 5,000 on-chain NFT-bound tokens, which is counted as an achievement in the NFT space.
It has only been a year since CyberKongz launched its NFT projects, but it is already making an indelible mark in the industry by creating one of the most popular and in-demand collections in the NFT space. And with the brand’s interest veering toward mixed martial arts, it might not be long until this flourishing project begins hosting events, sponsoring fighters, and providing MMA equipment to local gyms.
